William Long came to Sydney Australia as a soldier in the 3rd Regiment of the 
Buffs, he was then transported to Tasmania. Some of his children left Tasmania 
and settled in South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales.

Richard Long was 8 eight years old when his grandmother Elizabeth brought him 
to Mt Gambier to live after the death of her husband William Long in Oatlands 
Tasmania. Richard Long married Mary Cameron McCallum, daughter of Duncan 
McCallum and Mary Cameron.

John Boardman and Anne Wright arrived 1855 on the "Northern Light" coming from 
Lancashire England.

Duncan McCallum and Mary Cameron arrived 10 July 1840 on the "Dauntless" coming 
from Greenock, Scotland.

Andrew McFarlane and Janet McNicol arrived around 1854 from Scotland and lived 
at Ardno about 2 miles from Invercoe homestead in Victoria.

John Cameron and Margaret McFarlane arrived in South Australia 1866 from 
Victoria and settled in Mt Gambier where they raised there 12 children.

Daniel Jarvis & Helen Johnston lived in Strathalbyn SA and had three children.

George Rainsford & Elizabeth Sandford arrived from Dublin Ireland in 1852 on 
the "Sultana".
